Night on the town
So we were all back from the chopper experience. I decided to leave my glasses somewhere in the chopper area. Thankfully a quick call and they were willing to drop them back to the hotel. I have to say, I was bricking it for a while there. Sure while waiting on them to bring them to me, we decided to hit the bar and have a drink or two. I only had prescription sunglasses on, and they came in handy. Especially as the buxom waitress waited on tables. That girl had no shame. 😉
So it was only the one pint, before we headed for a siesta, Tony worked on the blog photos, and myself and Paddy hit the sack.
1:24AM as it is now typing this, tells us the alarm was set wrong and we have not headed out. a few quick showers, a check on hooters opening hours (its closed 🙁 ) and we are off looking for some soakage before hitting the LAX nightclub.
We were supposed to post before this, but sorting out the multitude of photos is a bit of a chore. Expect the first set and intro blog to go live first thing tomorrow.

I’m doing a driving holiday to the States this year in September with a couple of mates. We’re looking at a total of three weeks with the following stops:
Las Vegas from the 5th – 8th September (The Grand Canyon, big casinos etc)
LA from the 8th – 10th (Hollywood sign, Mann’s Chinese Theater, Walk of Fame, Universal Studios)
San Francisco 10 – 12th (Golden Gate, Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz)
from there we’ll be traveling north to Oregon and on to Mount Saint Helens in Washington state. Then it’s east to Yellowstone Park and Mount Rushmore continuing east (we may stay over in Chicago for a night if we’re on time) to the next hotel stop in:
Toronto from 21st – 22nd (Niagra Falls) and then finally to:
New York from 23rd – 26th (Empire State, Times Square, Central Park, Statue of Liberty, maybe a Broadway show)

Anyhow, it’s clear that we’ll be covering a lot of miles. There’ll be 3 of us driving (pending me passing my test) so we’ll split it up as we go. I’ve been using TripIt.com to plan out the days, routes etc and it’s a great web app, highly recommended.
