Maw! The Meatloaf!

A scene from The Wedding Crashers with Will Ferrell at his best. This consistently makes me laugh.

The winding Thames

The winding Thames

A quick post of a shot I took out the window of our Ryanair flight back from Gatwick tonight. I was over to catch The Dark Knight Rises in IMAX and catch up with a good friend. The view was amazing on a crystal clear evening over London and you can catch a good few landmarks in there (click through for larger version).

Abandonded

Six Flags, New Orleans has been closed since Katrina hit in 2005 and immersed the park in 4-7 feet of water for a month. It hasn’t been opened since and there’s some amazing photos over on LoveThesePics. Wikipedia has the full run down of what’s happened since.

Where’s the list?

I use Google Calendar extensively to keep track of work appointments and stuff that I do otherwise. It’s synced up with my Android HTC Sensation, Apple iPod Touch and my office copy of Microsoft Outlook. Everything normally syncs to and from those devices smoothly (add an event on the iPod, it syncs to everything else when it connects to wireless etc). However, something happened last week that has prompted the above when it goes to sync.

Obviously Google has detected that there are events missing from the Outlook Calendar but I don’t know which. I need to see a sample to know whether they’re work ones that Outlook decided to archive or genuine future events that I might miss out on. It’s that type of usability fail that I’ll be looking to avoid as we get deep into a new site project for the city in the coming weeks. I’ll have more on that soon.
