Fascinating video piece by The Verge on police cams that are starting to roll out across the US. They include the views of Josh Wolf who spent 226 days in prison after refusing to hand over raw footage he had shot of an anti-G8 demonstration in San Francisco. Definitely worth the twelve minutes of your time.

I deal with WordPress a lot. In fact, I’ve been using it ever since it forked from b2 over a decade ago so I’ve seen it gradually become a major player in open source. The mug is from Wordcamp Ireland, a WordPress conference that took place in Kilkenny in 2009, and I found it this week. I was sort of stuck for a Friday photo this week so excuse the randomness.
Saw Side Effects this evening. Rooney Mara plays a young woman whose world unravels when a drug prescribed by her psychiatrist (Jude Law) has unexpected side effects. I won’t say anything more about the plot as it would spoil it but I’d recommend catching it. Rooney Mara is excellent plus this is touted to be Soderbergh’s last movie.
