And so this is…

DSC00493 …Christmas obviously. We had the work do down in the Johnstown Inn Hotel on Monday night. It went really well and I was quite impressed with the size of my bed. Most of the staff got stuck with single beds but some lucky souls, including yours truly, got a king size bed. 🙂 The night itself was great as we got a lovely three course meal and then got thrown out of a function we were invited into by another company. 😕 Long story, turns out some of the women who work in our office are “too good looking”.

DSC00505 Was down in the local with Mark tonight watching the Man Utd vs Wigan game. With the run of luck United have been having lately I didn’t expect much and it seemed we were in for a tough one with the form Wigan’s goalkeeper was in. Luckily they got the breakthrough with Rio Ferdinand’s first goal for United on the half hour. Wayne Rooney then scored two before Van Nistelrooy sealed the win with a penalty. Good result but more to be done.

Pretty busy over the next few days so expect a few entries by the weekend.

Loose Cows

I like that title. 🙂 One of the loose cows We came across a group of cows on the road near Dunboyne while on the way to football today. We called a local farmer who we thought owned the cows. When we were on the way back they were still there so we pulled in and tried to find a place to get them off the road. We put them in an adjacent field and called the Gardai to inform them. 😐 Here’s what else has been happening:

  • Tomorrow night is the Christmas party in work and we’re having an overnighter in a hotel in Enfield. Looks quite nice so I’m looking forward to it.
  • I managed to buy tickets for Robbie Williams in Croke Park next summer. I rolled out of bed at 7.50 and had my tickets by 8.02, a whole two minutes after they had gone on sale. 😀 Rarely, if ever, have I had a transaction go that smoothly, especially with Ticketmaster. They had sold 80,000 tickets in 20 mins. 😯
  • The legendary comedian Richard Pryor died today. I loved his 1989 comedy with Gene Wilder, “See No Evil, Hear No Evil” and the man was an inspiration to many comedians. RIP.

To finish off, here’s a great video of Jeremy Clarkson destroying a Porsche 911. 🙂

Tony’s Thumbs-Up Award of Total Excellence

Some of you may be familiar with Dave of Blogography fame (those who aren’t, go visit…….now). He does cartoon stuff on his site and recommends things sometimes with a little graphic of him. I asked him if he could do me a similiar one and lo and behold he got back to me in record time with a smashing graphic that fits the bill exactly. So expect to see a lot more of it over the coming weeks. Cheers Dave. 😀

Fake or Foto?

Got this from Podz. It’s called Fake or Foto? and you basically have to guess which of the images are CG and which are real. I got 8/10 so it’s not bad going.

BTW: If you noticied a bit of weirdness in the feed it’s due to the fact that I updated any posts with pics in them to reflect the modified CSS.
