Captured after taking off from Dublin Airport on the 10th. It was a beautifully clear day and you can spot the Mourne Mountains in the distance.

Opt out of receiving a printed phone book
I’ve been living in an apartment for a few years now and have noticed the yearly pile of phonebooks that arrive in the atrium. The majority of them aren’t picked up so I’m presuming the management company throw a good few out and it’s a huge waste of paper. I can’t even remember when I would have used one last and I know a lot of my generation would be the same.
So, want to opt out of receiving one? There’s a new site to do just that at phonebookoptout.ie. You’ll need to register but it’s a fairly simple process after that and if you want to look up any Irish listed number you can do so at eircomphonebook.ie
Blackfish
Most of the stuff that I’d read or watch is non-fiction so Blackfish was a documentary on my radar as having gotten great reviews recently. It’s a film that investigates incidents involving killer whales in captivity and is quite shocking. It’s clear that these mammals have a social sense far greater than humans (as has been evidenced by brain MRI) and the damage that captivity does to them is truly immeasurable. I believe we’ll look back in years to come and realise how much of a mad practice this is. Recommend viewing.
