Wow, we’re already four weeks into the process of trying to win a trip to Sydney. So….
This week we are looking at Sydney Wildlife. We want you to take inspiration from the various animals that can be found in and around Sydney, and create your own Australian creature โ whether it be a mash-up of existing animals (platypus, koala, wombat, emuโ thereโs plenty to choose from!) or a completely new species.
Suggestions so far include: Eric Lalor’s “Dingo-roo would be pretty fearsome. Imagine one of those feckers leaping towards you !”, Darren Byrne’s “A Cookerburra – a flying oven”, Christian Hughe’s “A duck-billed tree toad” and Will Knott’s “Great White Land Snark – A vicious animal living around the harbour who will publicly denigrate any fashion faux-paw it sees”. So let’s see your suggestions. The madder the better. ๐ Gotta move fast on this one as I’m in Romania at a wedding this weekend so may not have access to creature creation materials. If you’re wondering what all this is about see these posts: Week 1, Internationals Rule, Week 2, The Sydney Harbour T, Week 3, The ANZ Stadium.

How about the fabled knifey-spooney spider.
What about merging famous Ozzie celebs with animals? You could photoshop their heads onto the animal bodies…
@Elly – you and your photoshop.
Like the Mell Gibbon?
Or the Isla King-Fisher?
Or Hugh Jackleman?
Russel Crow?(that one is too easy, I know)
@Bngr: I genuinely loled at that. Awesome.
@elly: That’s a great idea. Hmmmz.
@Lottie: Oi. Get out of it. ๐ ๐
You could always merge a Croc with Steve Irwin.
